Cultivating a life of spice is second nature to them now.

Every now and again, an idea comes along that is so perfect that it seems like it was meant to be. In a place where time slows down and the days languish under shady trees on pristine white sand beaches, it is not hard to see why owner Sir Royston Hopkin, K.C.M.G. chose this spot to create a place of unpretentious luxury. A native of Grenada, Sir Royston Hopkin has made many contributions to the hospitality and tourism industry of Grenada and the Caribbean throughout his distinguished career. But none outshines the beauty of Spice Island Beach Resort. His vision was to meld poetry and modernity into a resort that would perfectly blend into its environment, and still offer all the luxuries you would expect from one of the world’s finest resorts.

Today new generations of the Hopkin family are the conscientious caretakers of his dream. Still guided by their father’s penchant for perfection, and inspired by their own deeply personal experience at the resort, they all know full well what it means to be a perfect host. What truly distinguishes the Hopkin family from other fine hoteliers, however, is the personal responsibility they take for the experience of each and every guest. Regularly, the resort’s guests are invited to cocktail parties at the Hopkins’ own house, where they meet friends, business partners, and family members from around the world. And always, the personal touch is close at hand. Truly, the guests of Spice Island Resort are treated like family.
