DEAR FRIENDS OF SPICE
While our client base consists of discerning travelers from London all the way to Asia and the Middle East, this time of year inevitably calls to mind the time-honoured tradition of Thanksgiving in the United States.

It seems the American custom of listing all for which we are thankful during Thanksgiving dinner has seen some new additions in recent years as more and more people are thankful for their iPhones and tablets. But throughout America as well as the rest of the world, people never lose sight of the staples - family, friends and the experiences we share together.

When it's my turn at the Thanksgiving table, I give thanks for my wife, son and daughters as well as our extended family, the employees at Spice Island Beach Resort who consistently give 110% to ensure our guests are able to spend quality time with their families with every whim catered to and most wishes granted.

I'm thankful for our loyal guests who return to Spice Island Beach Resort for an unsurpassed vacation experience, and for the fortune of being able to give back to our local community through charity work and the sustenance of employment for local Grenadians.

When I read the kind words on your comment cards, Trip Advisor reviews and posts on the Spice Island Beach Resort Facebook page, not to mention our 2011 Condé Nast "Reader's Choice" Award, I know that you're also thankful for the time spent with us. Most of all, I know you're thankful because I can see it in your smiles, and that is all the thanks I need!

Thank you for another wonderful year! We look forward to welcoming you back soon!

Sir Royston O. Hopkin, KCMG
Chairman, Spice Island Beach Resort

SPICE STARS
Each month, we recognize those employees who distinguish themselves through performance. It is easy for those who come in contact with our guests on a regular basis to be noticed and appreciated. We are particularly pleased that three of the four employees featured this quarter work in the 'heart of the house' where their day-to-day contact with guests is minimal. This demonstrates that all jobs are equally important in creating the memorable experiences our guests enjoy and expect.

Special congratulations to Valdon Noel, Jacintha Lewis, Nathalie Stafford, and Jomel Dumont.
